INDIANAPOLIS – enVista, a leading global supply chain consulting and IT services firm, today announces it has received the Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine 2015 Green Supply Chain Award for the fourth consecutive year. The award is given to companies that make green initiatives and sustainability a core part of their supply chain strategy and offer services and solutions that assist customers in achieving measurable sustainability goals. Award recipients will be featured in the December issue of the magazine.
enVista consultants are Lean Six Sigma experts who are dedicated to helping clients reduce waste from source to consumption, saving businesses money along the way. The company has helped countless clients meet their goals of going green through services including supply chain network design, inventory optimization, facility design build, transportation strategy and more.
Contributing to enVista’s Green Supply Chain Award win was its work with Federated Co-operatives, LTD (FCL), a multi-billion dollar wholesaling, manufacturing, marketing and administrative co-operative owned by autonomous retailers across Western Canada. enVista helped FCL implement a comprehensive workforce management solution throughout five distribution centers. As part of the project, enVista developed engineered labor standards and preferred methods, implemented an advanced labor management system (LMS), and trained FCL’s employees. As a result, FCL experienced a 25 percent increase in productivity for all tasks, a reduction of over 5,000 hours of labor during the first six months of the project, a reduction in overtime expenses by tens of thousands of dollars annually, and a significant reduction in its warehouse expense to sales ratio.
“Since our founding, enVista has been dedicated to helping clients reduce waste throughout all areas of the supply chain,” said enVista President and CEO Jim Barnes. “Being recognized by Supply & Demand Chain Executive is extremely rewarding as we are very proud to provide a positive environmental impact on the supply chains of our clients. Not only does our work benefit the environment, but many of our clients see significant financial savings thanks to our services and solutions as well.”
