INDIANAPOLIS – enVista, a global software and consulting services provider, optimizing and transforming physical and digital commerce, announces that Supply & Demand Chain Executive has recognized three of enVista’s leaders, Chief Marketing Officer J.J. Barnes, Director of Operations Megan Bishop, and Manager of Design Solutions Laura Hunter, as top women in supply chain, among hundreds of nominees. enVista had more leaders named to the Women in Supply Chain list than any other organization.
enVista CEO Jim Barnes, says, “We are extremely proud of the incredible talent in our organization, especially our associates, J.J. Barnes, Megan Bishop and Laura Hunter, for their impact and contributions within the supply chain industry and recognition by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Congratulations to you and well earned!”
Barnes continued, “It is deeply rewarding that three leaders from enVista have been recognized among an esteemed list of women in supply chain and that our organization had the largest number of women recognized. As a company, we intentionally attract, grow and foster the best, diverse talent base to drive innovation for our clients and to leave a lasting legacy within the supply chain and commerce industry.”

Barnes has spent nearly two decades helping build high-growth supply chain technology and consulting organizations and has helped significantly grow enVista’s brand recognition and revenue over the past 12 years. Bishop manages a team of 100+ global associates who collectively audit over $7 billion across 350+ clients and was integral in fully rolling out a ship from store platform for 5000+ stores and 350+ distribution centers. Hunter leads a consulting team on numerous facility design projects and has led continuous improvement projects within distribution centers that generated more than $250,000 in annual savings, among other achievements.
Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the only magazine in the supply chain industry covering the entire global supply chain that focuses on ROI, professional development and change management, celebrates its 20-Year Anniversary with the introduction of the Women in Supply Chain award, honoring female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network.
“We received over 200 entries for this new award, entries that were submitted from a combination of men and women. This proves that our industry needed an award like this, especially in conjunction with Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 20-year anniversary,” says Marina Mayer, editor-in-chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics. “According to Gartner’s 2020 Women in Supply Chain Survey, 17% of chief supply chain officers are now women – a 6% increase compared to 2019. This award resembles females supporting other female leaders; men supporting their female counterparts. It resembles the future. It represents growth, evolution and community. And, that future shows that it’s a great time to be a part of the supply chain industry. So, congratulations to these top female leaders. I look forward to seeing what else you do to grow the supply chain industry.”
