The Green Supply Chain Award recognizes companies that have made it a goal to create more ecofriendly supply chains, focusing on ways to reuse or recycle items throughout their operations. This is enVista’s eighth consecutive year being recognized for its commitment to creating solutions that not only optimise the supply chain and increase the bottom line but protect and improve the environment.
Contributing to enVista’s selection was the firm’s recent work with a $300+ million-dollar retailer, designing and optimizing the company’s supply chain network and inventory management strategy. Due to the retailer’s unique seasonal business model, enVista enabled the company with the tools to maintain inventory and ship from its physical stores, eliminating the need for costly distribution centre operations. The optimised supply chain network has and will continue to reduce the footprint of large distribution centre operating costs, labour expenditures, and carbon emissions, estimated to save the retailer an average of $4.1 million per year.
