Reading Time: 2 minutesINDIANAPOLIS – enVista, a leading global consulting and software solutions firm, today announces the debut of the Unified Commerce Experience by enVista, an interactive retail store and technology environment where retailers can experience firsthand how enVista’s next generation Unified Commerce Platform solutions empower retailers to provide personalized and operationally seamless in-store shopping and omni-channel fulfilment experiences for the customer. The experiential retail lab allows retailers to gain a 360-degree view of the modern retail environment from the customer perspective.
Located in the firm’s Carmel, Indiana headquarters, the Unified Commerce Experience by enVista is a simulated store environment featuring physical inventory, enterprise visibility to inventory available to promise, SKUs, interactive online store, personalized sales receipts, and both mobile (phone/tablet) and fixed station point of sale technology. Sample scenarios include endless aisle search and enterprise inventory visibility, multiple omni-channel orders on a single transaction and receipt, highly intuitive point of sale experiences, clienteling, save the sale, curated microsites personalized to the individual shopper, and other scenarios key to customer engagement and personalization.
The Unified Commerce Experience is powered by enVista’s comprehensive suite of cloud-based solutions on a Unified Commerce Platform, including: enterprise order management system (OMS), point of sale (POS/mPOS), digital commerce, product information management (PIM), EDI, vendor drop ship and store fulfilment. The solutions are built as business process objects delivered on a multi-enterprise architecture and integration framework to rapidly integrate with trading partners and retailers’ existing solutions.
“enVista’s Unified Commerce Experience truly transforms the way retailers can experience what’s possible and how to leverage enabling technology to deliver personalized, unified commerce experiences to the customer,” said Jim Barnes, enVista CEO. “Unlike other platform providers, ours is not a lab where retailers can explore what’s possible in the future; this is an environment where retailers can work with functionality that has been delivered.”
Barnes added, “Stores remain a vital component of the customer experience and retailers’ sales strategies. enVista is helping retailers overcome the convergence of physical and digital commerce with buy, fulfill and return anywhere capabilities, clienteling and a single view of the customer, inventory, order, item and payment to unify the customer experience and drive brand loyalty and sales.”
enVista has also launched a series of brief video demonstrations to extend its simulated Unified Commerce Experience online. The videos review and explain common retail scenarios, including: buy online, fulfill in store; POS as a point of service; microsite capabilities and benefits; save the sale; and more.
