There comes a time for every growing company when its information technology and spatial needs outgrow its current setup. For Spot, an Indianapolis-based freight broker founded in 2009 who partners with small carriers to move over 70,000 loads annually, that time came in 2016 when it decided to move into a new office space and upgrade its IT infrastructure. Not only was Spot out of physical space, it was out of space on its storage area network (SAN), out of bandwidth, and was largely operating on 3-6 years old hardware.
enVista first partnered with Spot approximately 6 years ago when it had three people. Since that time, it has seen substantial growth, and this past fall, it was time to move offices and complete a hardware refresh to make sure it could keep accomplishing its goals of providing efficient and reliable service while maintaining the highest customer satisfaction.
Spot moved across Indianapolis to a new office space located in the old Jillian’s building on Meridian Street. The move was fairly straightforward, with enVista in charge of design, planning, and implementation. The new space included structured cabling, network infrastructure and wireless infrastructure provided by enVista.
