enMotion by enVista introduces warehouse and distribution center orchestration and interoperability platform for multiple robots, powered by GreyMatter
INDIANAPOLIS (June 5, 2025) – enVista, a leading supply chain and enterprise solutions provider, today announces the launch of its proprietary enMotion platform, comprised of multiple robotic technologies and an AI-powered multi-agent orchestration engine to optimize distribution center (DC) operations. enMotion dynamically orchestrates multiple automated guided vehicle (AGV), collaborative robotic (cobot) and goods-to-person (GTP) systems. enMotion’s robotic solutions will leverage GreyOrange’s AI-driven orchestration platform, GreyMatter, and enVista’s enMotion warehouse execution system (WES) and warehouse control system (WCS) to drive end-to-end movement of orders and inventory in the DC.
enMotion’s first robotic solution consists of a single and double deep pallet cobot focused on full case selection. enMotion’s robotic technology powered by the GreyMatter software will provide unmatched efficiency in manufacturing and distribution, reducing travel and search time by nearly 80 percent. Both cobots are equipped with LiDAR-guided simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) navigation and 360-degree safety scanners for enhanced safety.
As the first of their kind to offer a 360-degree view at all times, these autonomous forklift robots navigate using features of the warehouse as opposed to reflectors, enabling them to detect objects, humans and otherwise to enable course adjustments.
Warehouse leaders can leverage enMotion as a Robotics as a Service (RaaS) model to achieve rapid deployment of scalable warehouse automation in their facilities without capital expenditures. This innovation marks a significant stride toward overcoming the financial obstacles that warehouse and distribution center leaders face in automating their facilities for operational excellence.
enVista’s CEO, Jim Barnes, said, “The warehouse is a highly dynamic environment. Every facility is a combination of movements, from materials and people to systems and data, that are working together toward a key business outcome. enMotion by enVista is entering the market as a suite of solutions that will cover every moving piece in the warehouse and DC. Most notable about our inaugural enMotion solution, enMotion Robotics, is that the power of GreyMatter allows our collaborative robots to remain pallet type-agnostic, providing a flexibility of integration that cannot be found elsewhere in the industry.”
Barnes continued, “enMotion’s cobots are just the first of many enMotion solutions that will make huge strides in manufacturing and distribution operations. The unique level of innovation and creativity they can provide supply chain leaders, free from technological constraints, will be invaluable for meeting demand fluctuations, reducing labor dependency and optimizing throughput in real time.”
GreyOrange’s co-founder and CEO, Akash Gupta, said, “AI-powered orchestration has a transformative effect on warehouse efficiency and significantly reduces overall cost per unit. With this solution, enVista and GreyOrange are bringing a whole new level of efficiency, scalability and flexibility to the supply chain. Not only will customers be able to boost their productivity by two to four times, but they’ll also receive payback within six to 18 months of operation.”
enMotion’s RaaS model will provide manufacturers and distributors with a scalable, subscription-based model, end-to-end integrations across warehouse management systems, warehouse execution systems and enterprise resource planning systems, full lifecycle support, rapid deployment and flexibility and data-driven optimization.
