INDIANAPOLIS – enVista, a global software, managed services and consulting solutions firm, optimizing and transforming both physical and digital commerce, today announces that it has been named to Food Logistics’ 2021 Top Green Providers List for the ninth time.
Food Logistics’ annual Top Green Providers recognizes companies whose products, services or exemplary leadership is enhancing sustainability within the cold food and beverage industry. The editorial staff evaluates a company’s participation in such programs as the EPA’s SmartWay and other recognized sustainability programs; facilities that are LEED-certified and/or feature solar panels, LED lighting and other energy-saving installations and retrofits; and other means of producing measurable reductions in GHG emissions, to name a few.
enVista is recognized for promoting sustainability across its transportation consulting practice. enVista’s team of consultants and analysts provide analysis of truckload and less-than-truckload freight, as well as model private fleets, with the objective of reducing total miles and required assets to move the freight. While calculating cost savings, the team considers non-optimized carbon dioxide output as compared to the optimized CO2 impact, providing a read on the environmental savings the client will procure as a result of the service.
enVista Director, Global Strategic Solutions, Michael Falls, said, “As the industry moves forward, maintaining sustainable operations should be at the top of the priority list for supply chain and commerce leaders. One area with immense potential for sustainability is shipping. We will likely see a rise in green delivery as organizations discover a way to ship that satisfies the customer while also benefitting the environment.”
Falls continued, “It is an honor that enVista is recognized once again for our dedication to promoting sustainable shipping, including our promotion of green delivery and services that help shippers reduce their carbon emissions while maintaining a positive customer experience and low costs.”
Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive, said, “When the pandemic hit, I thought for sure that sustainability would be pushed to the wayside, but, in fact, the complete opposite happened. I couldn’t be more appreciative of the supply chain industry’s efforts in making sustainability top of mind in every aspect of their organization despite the many supply chain disruptions they continue to face,” Mayer continued, “Sustainability is the key to success, and the recipients of this year’s award prove that when sustainability matters to them, they will continue to do great things and make a difference in the industry.”
Recipients of this year’s award are profiled in the June 2021 print issue. Visit Food Logistics to view the full list of all 2021 Top Green Providers
