UPS has announced that they are going to update the UPS Mail Innovations fuel surcharge table effective July 4, 2022.
This change will increase the cap of the fuel surcharge for Mail Innovations shipments to 6.5% from 4%. Mail Innovations previously had a fuel surcharge table of its own but with this update it will be the same table as Ground/SurePost with a cap of 6.5%. Because the Ground/SurePost table is well above the 6.5% fuel surcharge as of recent, this update will lock in the Mail Innovations fuel surcharge at 6.5% for the foreseeable future.
